One of our strategic aims is to promote the international mobility of both students and staff to raise awareness of cultural diversity, but also to provide an international forum for debate and discussion on a wide range of topical, global themes. We have a wide range of partnerships, both through the Erasmus+ scheme and worldwide.
Over the last 170 years, Leeds College of Art has contributed significantly to the development of art education in Britain, having pioneered new ways to teach and to structure qualifications. Today, Leeds College of Art plays an important role in developing the next generation of creative individuals.
We have forged strong and productive links with partners in education including the Council for Higher Education in Art and Design, Guild HE, the National Arts Learning Network, the University of the Arts London, the West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network, Aim Higher, Leeds City Council, Leeds Schools, the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Art, Design and Media, United Kingdom Arts and Design Institutions Association, the University of Leeds, Leeds College of Music and The Sorrell Foundation.
Further relationships exist with specialist subject associations on an individual course level and we work closely with local and regional based creative industries in order to provide work placement and employment opportunities to students.
